Kid Friendly Ways to Ring in the New Year

Kid Friendly New Years from Travel Parent Eat

Before kids New Year’s Eve for us usually involved parties, dancing, and a lot of raucous. These days, it is more like planning an altered nap schedule so we aren’t dealing with late night breakdowns, and debating the merit of letting the kids stay up until midnight.

Truthfully, I wouldn’t change a thing. I love my family, and I can’t think of a better way to ring in a new year than with them by my side. But that doesn’t make it easy. Most younger kids aren’t even sure why you are celebrating, as some can’t quite grasp the concept of a year. So how do you include them in the fun? I have put together this list of kid friendly ideas and fun ways to ring in the New Year, family style!
