It’s important to maintain a strong relationship with your spouse. There really isn’t a better way to keep the spark alive than a regular date night. Date nights don’t always have to be expensive, or require a lot of planning. We’ve already shared several great date night ideas, but it seems like the right timing to share one of our favorites, with an awesome way for you to enjoy it too.
One of our favorite ways to spend date night is dinner and window shopping. Just down the street from grandma and grandpa’s house (hello, free babysitting) is a great shopping area called Station Park. These little shopping areas are starting to pop up all over. We love these shopping centers because they offer dinner (at any number of restaurants, and any price point), movies, great shopping, and even just some nice areas to walk around.
Last week, we visited this shopping center, Station Park, in Farmington, Utah. We stopped to eat at one of our favorite restaurants, Settebellos. They have authentic wood fire ovens to cook authentic Italian pizza. They also have great salads, and a wonderful gelato bar. The ingredients are fresh, the food is made to order, and it always tastes great.
After dinner we walked just a couple of doors down to a new dessert restaurant, Cobbler Cove. My husband isn’t much of a cooked fruit fan, but he humored me, and we tried it out. I sampled the Chocolate Raspberry Cobbler. I love those two flavors! The cobbler was very moist, and the raspberries were fresh. I appreciated that the raspberry sauce wasn’t hidden in tons of extra sugar. The tang of the raspberries was the star of the show.
Cobbler Cove is a new twist on dessert. They allow you to customize your cobbler with different flavor varieties, a la mode, or not, and a line up of toppings. Think of those frozen yogurt bars, but with cobbler, yummm!
We decided to walk off our dessert with our hot chocolate (also from Cobbler Cove) and check out some of the new stores opening up. We made sure to stop by Sanctuary Aveda to get some hand massages after all that fork to mouth lifting. We also had to check out the new line of exercise clothes from Lululemon. I didn’t realize, but there are free exercise classes on Saturday mornings at this location! Do you have a Lululemon by you? Do they offer free exercise classes? I can’t wait to try one out.
After looking at all those exercise clothes, we decided to do something we’ve always wanted to do: taste test a Harmon’s donut with any other donut. We bought a donut from Harmon’s and purchased one from another donut shop and we each ate half of each donut. Harmon’s is the clear winner. It’s a sweeter dough with a little more heft, and the frosting is divine! One other great part of Harmons is their cooking classes. We’ve yet to try one, but really want to. If you win this giveaway, will you let us join you for your cooking class?
Enough about our date night, I’m super excited because Station Park is offering one of you a wonderful date night!
